If you are new to exercise, or are looking at starting a health program, it can be very overwhelming about where and how to begin. Finding an experienced and qualified trainer is important to ensure that your safety and wellbeing are well cared for. Our beginner’s health program includes Functional Movement (FM) which means we will teach you how to start an exercise program that is appropriate to you to ensure we reduce any chance of injury. Our programs will train your muscles safely and slowly, by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in future sports or exercise. Our experienced trainers will help improve your core stability with an emphasize on pelvic floor. FM is designed to help you overcome a range of conditions, Pelvic Floor issues, back, hip and knee pain and to also get you started in health and fitness programs.
Using a number of different techniques and assessments, this is a one on one assessment about finding what is right for and your conditions, empowering you to deal with ongoing management and improving your wellbeing and lifestyle. After an initial assessment you may choose to join our group classes.
FM is a beneficial part of a comprehensive program for older adults to improve balance, agility, muscle strength, and reduce the risk of falls. Since commencing our program, many of our older adults have seen real improvement in agility, strength, and importantly the ability to get up and down off the ground, to make everyday activities easier and improve quality of life.
