Functional Movement

What is Functional Movement (FM)? Functional movement trains your muscles by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. FM helps improves core stability with an emphasize on pelvic floor. FM is designed to help you overcome a range of conditions, Pelvic Floor issues, back, hip and knee pain.

Using a number of different techniques and assessments, this is a one on one assessment about finding what is right for and your conditions, empowering you to deal with ongoing management and improving your wellbeing and lifestyle. After an initial assessment you may choose to join our group classes.

FM is a beneficial part of a comprehensive program for older adults to improve balance, agility and muscle strength, and reduce the risk of falls. Since commencing our program, many of our older adults have seen real improvement in agility, strength,  and importantly the ability to get up and down off the ground, to make everyday activities easier and improve quality of life.
