With a love of adventure and the outdoors,  Kelly wanted to share these experiences with others. Treks are designed to empower you, provide a little bit of a challenge, and/or experience something completely new and out of your comfort zone. Being in nature releases your mind and it’s also a great opportunity to enjoy some relaxation and yoga at the end of each day, meet other people and really feel that you have left the rat-race behind (even if it may just be a short break).

Hiking has plenty of perks: nice views, fresh air, and the sounds and smells of nature. Research has also shown, it is actually good for us too. Not only a great cardio workout but benefits include:

Frequently Asked Questions:

What age group do these hikes, am I too old? Age is only a number, provided you can walk the recommended distances and feel confident in your ability, there is no age limit. In some circumstances a medical clearance and/or a fitness assessment may be required.

What demographic are the hikes for? Predominately Ladies between 35 – 70, but you are definitely not excluded if you are outside of this group. Some hikes will be open to both sexes.

Do I have to buy all the expensive hiking gear? Treks distances and requirements for each trek will differ. You will be give a recommended packing list for each trip, if you need equipment we have some gear for hire or purchase at reasonable prices. Please ask our advice before you purchase anything.

What fitness level are the hikes for? I’m not sure I am fit enough. We build up our fitness gradually so by the time we depart you will be ready. These treks are designed predominately for beginners with some walking experience. The more difficult hikes will be specified. We aim to provide an easy option to allow women to get to try trekking but have a few luxuries along the way, like using lodges, hotels as a base camp.

If you have an Adventure Club membership monthly hikes are included in your trip. Non Adventure Club members cost is $14.  If you are from outside Brisbane you will be provided with a 12 week fithiking program to follow.

What if I have never been trekking before? you will be given a detailed briefing, including how to pack, conditions to expect and gear necessary. You may like to have a few personal training sessions to ensure you build up strength and stamina in the correct areas.(Additional cost but well worth it to ensure you train hard and trek easy).
