Japan Women’s Pilgrimage  8 – 16 NOV 19

An opportunity to visit Japan and experience the autumn colours of the countryside is not to be missed. Come with us to experience a cultural immersion into the Japanese history as we explore the countryside and walk on the trails used by all level of societies for 1000’s of years.  Our walk will travel through historic and preserved post towns, which will do  at a leisurely pace so we can truly appreciate the scenery and local villages with just a daypack.  Each night along our trails, we will rest in traditional ryokans, temples or minshukus, some of which are still original buildings used along the trail. Our hosts prepare our exquisite cuisine, sourced from local and the freshest ingredients, whilst we have a chance to soak in natural hot springs (onsens), dress in traditional Japanese Yukatas as we settle for the evening and enjoy our traditional Kaiseki multi course dinner. This is off the beaten track and a fantastic opportunity to see the rural countryside of Japan, and experience an ancient culture by trekking in the footsteps of Japanese history.
