Location: Tasmania, Tarkine Wilderness

Date:  3-8 Dec 19

Duration: 6 Days /5nights

Walking: Day hikes in Tarkine Wilderness, plus a few extra walks pre and post Tarkine area.

Relax in comfortable accommodation after each days’ hike. Sit on the balcony with a glass of wine, share a chat or spend some quiet time overlooking the magnificent ancient Tarkine. By visiting the area you will develop a deeper understanding of the importance of this pristine location and one of the remaining rainforests on earth. We spend the days exploring some of the Tarkine’s pristine river walks, waterfalls and historic sites,  carrying only a daypack. There are plenty of pademelons, black cockatoos, and blue fairy wrens who will keep us company in this area. With a number of walks on offer, these will be chosen to suit the fitness of the group, carrying your own lightweight day pack. There are several options, so fitter Ladies may choose to do the longer hikes; or if you want to take your time, you may choose the shorter walks to be done in small groups (solo walking is not recommended).

We will also have to connect with the environment, allowing us to really lose our minds and find our souls, not to mention  stretch sessions to specific muscles to reduce any aching muscles after our walks. With limited places, you are guaranteed to find some peace and quiet and time to truly reflect on life, and escape the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Inclusions: Transport to and from Devonport, all accommodation, all meals as per itinerary, river cruises, private driver and coaster, ferry charges, kayak and canoe hire.

Exclusions: airfare, transport to and from Brisbane airport, travel insurance, alcohol, items of a personal nature.
